The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey (www.theatlantichotel.com) has announced the launch of the Jersey Michelin Experience for 2016 in celebration of the island’s growing gourmet reputation. Combining fine dining and luxury accommodation, the island’s three Michelin-starred restaurants have come together to offer a foodie break with a difference.
Guests on the Jersey Michelin Experience can enjoy a three, four or seven night stay at the award-winning Atlantic Hotel, with three dinners over the course of their stay at each of the island’s Michelin-starred restaurants, including the hotel’s own Ocean Restaurant, Ormer Restaurant by Shaun Rankin and Bohemia Restaurant at The Club Hotel & Spa.
Having held a Michelin star at Ocean Restaurant for the past 10 years, Executive Head Chef Mark Jordan is renowned for crafting carefully created dishes which celebrate the quality of local Jersey produce. From the freshest seafood to the tenderest Jersey beef, Mark’s innovative yet honest style showcases each ingredient at its best.
Renowned chef Shaun Rankin ensures local produce is king and the ambience is inviting at his trendy restaurant Ormer in St Helier. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star only four months after opening in 2013 and has been heralded with accolades ever since. The dining at Ormer is sophisticated yet unpretentious and the wine list boasts over 200 bins.
Head Chef Steve Smith at Bohemia, who has held a Michelin Star for over 15 years from the age of just 24, has created a truly outstanding dining experience with his ingredient and flavour driven tasting menus. Bohemia is one of the top 50 best restaurants in the UK in The Sunday Times 2016.
Guests who opt for the four or the seven-night stay will also enjoy dinner at Mark Jordan at the Beach. The beachside bistro from The Atlantic Hotel’s Executive Head Chef, Mark Jordan, boasts Jersey’s only Michelin Bib Gourmand, a mark of good quality and good value food.
